The magnificent shores of Port Macquarie will once again play host to the much anticipated 2011 NSW Longboard Titles. Our Port Macquarie holiday accommodation at South Pacific Apartments invites surfing enthusiasts to take part on all the exciting happenings at the qualifying rounds of longboard surfing at the NSW region.
Happening on Sunday 19 June 2011 to Sunday 26 June 2011, this year’s NSW Longboard Titles will be held in various beaches in Port Macquarie and Camden Haven region. The surfing event will be fully mobile in Town Beach, Rainbow Beach, Grants beach, Light House as well as at the nearby Flynns Beach. Guests at our Port Macquarie apartments can enjoy the excitement with family and friends as they watch the best surfers competing to represent the NSW region on the upcoming Australian Surf Festival also happening at Port Macqaurie on August 2011. The event is free to all spectators.
The NSW Longboard Titles 2011 will features 13 divisions that include Open Men, Open Women, Under 18 Boys, Under 18 Girls, Over 35 Men, Over 35 Women, Over 40 Men, Over 45 Men, Over 50 Men, Over 55 Men, Over 60 Men. Competitors are also allowed to contend in multiple divisions. It is expected that more than 200 competitors will take part in the NSW Longboard Titles coming from all over the region to battle it out for the prestigious State Titles. Spectators can look forward to a very competitive and exciting competition. Joining the games past Australian and world surfing champs. The surfing is judged on a combination of modern manouvres and traditional manouvres such as noseriding.
